Did you know...?
According to a response from OSHA regarding questions about record keeping requirements, an employer does not have to record a minor musculoskeletal injury if the licensed health care professional returns the individual to regular duty and otherwise does not meet any of the recording criteria. Even if the employer ultimately decides to put the employee into restricted duty of their own decision to or because the employee requests to not perform certain tasks, the injury only needs to be recorded if the licensed health care professional made the restriction recommendation. (see www.osha.gov/recordkeeping).
